  We are sad to have to report the death on 18th May of David (Sprocket) Morley. His funeral was held on Tuesday 2nd June, 2009 with many hundreds in attendance

Sprocket will be well remembered across the County and particularly at Hollington and Crowhurst

He was 44 years old only and was a great servant of many activities in the community of Hastings including being Chief Lifeboat Launcher at Hastings

The Association was represented at the funeral and our thoughts were with his family and many friends. Donations were made to the Hastings Hospice and to the RNLI

WEALDEN LEAGUE

After many years running the Wealden League and the County B Team Norman and Christine Baker have changed their location and will be living in Scotland from this summer

Roy Sales of Pevensey on 01323 461357  takes over as Manager of  the B team with effect from the Committee meeting of 22nd July 2009

Chris Escott - 01323 813295 will take over as  Chairman of the Wealden League management with Linda Alsop of Chiddingly coming as both Secretary and Treasurer. Linda can be contacted on 01825 872679. Mary Taylor will continue as fixture arranger and keeper of results

COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS 2010 - Singles and pairs

Held at Hailsham over two days with last 8 playing off on Saturday 17th April

ASSOCIATION AGM - held at Horam on 21st April

Chair - Dorothy Roberts, Vice Chair - Chris Escott and Secretary - Alan Archer all resigned.

Treasurer - Peter Winter - gave notice that the  season 2010/11 will be his last as Treasurer

Tom Masters elected as Secretary to replace Alan but one  elected to replace Dorothy and Chris

Patrick Mighall to remain as CPO with Audrey Stew continuing as Match Secretary

Alec Martin elected as Premier Team Manager - Colin Mouland elected by majority vote as Manager of A Team whilst RoySales to continue as Manager for the B Team
