This weekend (14th/15th March 2026) saw the beginning of ‘Finals’ season, with the first of the ESMBA national finals. This was held at Melton and District IBC, Melton Mowbray.
Mixed Fours
The first finals were the mixed fours, held on Saturday 14th March. East Sussex were awarded one place for this seasons mixed fours. The team was:
ES1 – Karen Beard, Des Foord, Mandy Moore and Dan Awcock.
Over 55 Pairs
Sunday was the Over 55 Pairs. East Sussex were initially awarded 2 places with a extra third place offered later. Our teams were as follows:

ES2 – David Hacked/Thelma Hacker
