The Arrows began their 2026/27 ICC campaign at home against Kent Castles. Two players made their debut for the Arrows, with Henry Stonestreet and Ray Prescott playing for the senior team for the first time. Team captain Peter Winter MBE gave a rallying speech to the players in the pre match huddle and team manager Ed Law thanking everyone for taking part.
The singles of E Law and L Dunster faced tough opponents. playing J Frampton and M Doorey. Despite coming close, Kent claimed all 10 points. It was a similar story for the other disciplines, with a strong display from the Kent fours (0-10) and the triples (2-8).
Grater success was found with the pairs. The first session saw a hard fought draw from M Woodhams and J leach and a narrow victory by M Moore and P Winter MBE. The third session added to the points with the Woodham and Leach pair earning a further 2 points in a 15-14 win over C Ashby and D Mardell.
The final score was 7 – 33 to the castles, witge the shots being 151 to East Sussex and 239 to Kent.

The squad remain in high spirts, with the next fixture being less than a fortnight away. The arrows travel to our local neighbours and close rivals West Sussex, playing on 11th October 2026 at Worthing Pavilion IBC. Team selection will be sent out to players in the next few days.
