ESSMBA will be holding an practice/open day at our home venue, Grovelands primary school, on Saturday 20th September between 0900 and 1600. This is open to all members of East Sussex SMBA and a good chance to get some practice on our county mats prior to the start of the 2025/26 season. Please bring a cup for tea/coffee and a lunch as there are no food facilities available.
Members are encouraged to come along for the day or part of the day to get a chance to play on the county mats for the first time since April. It is a great opportunity to see fellow players and try out new woods that players may have brought over the summer. It is also a chance for players to register interest in representing the county, getting back into short mat or for new players to get their first chances to play.
Stickers for woods will be available from the county team manager (Edward Law) or the B team manager (Philip Boddy) on the day. Cost of the day will be £5 to cover the cost of the venue and refreshments. Dress code is relaxed but bowls wear is preferred (NO JEANS PLEASE). Bowls shoes required on the mats as per usual.
